Friday 31 October
Celebrating fun, friendship and Halloween was the order of business for the mob as we all went on a big adventure. From catching the bus in to Roma Street – a first for some Joeys, to seeing the Halloween Express, meeting up with Emu and the Joeys from Majestic Park for buddy fun and getting to dress up in spooky costumes – It was an action packed mob activity. Such fun!
The Joeys (and some sibling cubs) enjoyed a steam train ride through the Western suburbs in vintage wooden carriages, were entertained by the sights and smells of a steam train (wind and smoke rushing through open windows was a novelty) and were treated to a seemingly endless Willy Wonka style stream of goodies from the wonderful Railway Workshop volunteers. At the end, they got to inspect the steam engine and meet the engineers. Then it was back on to the bus for the trip home.
Thank you to all of the wonderful parents for assisting on the evening. It is always special for the Joeys to share their scouting experiences with you. Toot toot – Bagheera and Wolf.
