The theme for Scouts in Action Month (SIAM) this year was the Environment.  This year the scout section took a different approach and rather than just a single evening event we addressed environmental issues every week in different ways for the month of August.  The scouts played Kim’s game with rubbish. Had discussions about the environmental impact of harvesting and burning wood and how they can do so in a friendlier manner.  We ran a discussion base on the impact of climate change on coastal regions and how what we do every day in our own homes can have a positive impact.
